Location Planning
Location can be a big part of planning your session. My photography style leans heavily toward the environmental portrait, which is likely what drew you to my work in the first place. Feeling a personal connection with that environment is key to loving your photos.
When looking for the best Bay Area photoshoot locations, try to think in terms of environments more than specific locations.
You might be drawn to the coastal bluffs of Land’s End but have a toddler that wouldn’t do well around sketchy cliffs and dropoffs. What that says to me is that you love the energy of the rugged Pacific Coast. You want to smell the salt spray and hear the wind. Maybe I’ll suggest Rodeo Beach. This is about learning what matters to you to find an ideal session location for your family.

It is where I talk about growing up in the Caribbean and how I literally love the feeling of sand in my bed, and what that says about the power of experience. It is where I share personal projects, like a journalistic film series of my family.
