I do not remember taking this photo, but the moment it came back from the lab (shot on film), I knew it would be a favorite forever. I laugh out loud every time I look at it. It says so much about our life. So much that words could never tell you.

Also, it speaks to exactly how I feel right now. I can’t decide if I feel more like the dog or the baby, but I think the dog.
Like, if life were a toddler crawling all over me I would want to tell it to stop, to give me a rest. But also the toddler is cute and hilarious and makes me laugh so maybe I’d let her keep crawling.
Every year I forget how seasonal my work is. And in many ways that is a good thing. I love seasonality, the ebb and flow and change in rhythms. But I would be lying if I said I’m not working really hard right now.
Amidst the late nights and early mornings there are sparks of inspiration, things I want to tell you…and they have turned into a pile of newsletter drafts that I can’t quite finish. Finishing them is the hardest part.
For now, please enjoy this photo that makes me laugh.
