I feel so lucky sitting down to introduce you to Erin, who while technically is coming on board as an administrative assistant, but whom I’ve heard her much better described as a Chief Sanity Officer.
Lucky because this marks a point in my business where things have grown too big for a single person to manage. At least for a person with a toddler and who keeps as busy as I do gardening and building chicken coops and daydreaming about going backpacking.
This moment has also triggered some deep reflection. We live in an economy and society that values infinite growth. I don’t believe in that premise, and I don’t want to play that game.
But the simple truth is that I want to spend more time actually doing the thing I came here to do – making art with you.
So I’ve asked Erin to join the team. She’s not here to remove me from the process, or to make working with me any less personal. She’s here to help me put more energy into the places that matter. She’s here to make sure that your experience stays seamless and that nothing important gets missed.
With Erin’s help, I’ll be more present with you on session day. Here’s what she’s got to say –
